Lanvin Campaign Obsession

Every season I get really excited to see what kind of magical advertisement campaign comes from the house of Lanvin.  Although there is always a kind of ‘Lanvin-ish’ vibe in them, they are never really the same.  There are always new settings and situations.   It´s not like you know what to expect, like with i.e. Burberry, Marc Jacobs and Versace.  Even though there is always a bit of a romantic.. mysterious.. eerie feeling in the Lanvin ads they always renew their campaigns every season.  But you know.. I absolutely love everything that comes with a Lanvin label on it.. Alber Elbaz does no wrong in my books.
Here are some of their past advertisements.. not in any specific order (Im to lazy right now to think about putting it into the right time order).  My personal favorite is the Spring/Summer 2008 campaign so I will start with that.  I absolutely went crazy trying to collect all of them when they came out and placed the images under my pillow during the night so their amazingness would sink into my dreams at night (a trick I also used for studying math when I was younger..  so I´m not going to guarantee that this works)

I don´t know from when these are but I would guess around 2002-2003 and I think the models name is Colette. Maybe I´m completely wrong..

I also don´t know about this one.. I saw somewhere that it´s from F/W 2003 but I think the dress in the photo look newer then that.. so Im not sure.. maybe this is not even a real add! But I still like it, and it fits to Lanvin

For Halla

A while ago, Halla posted something on Deborah Turbeville.  That day I had been in the library collecting some images and I came across one of her photos in a book about photography (the one with the models in the sauna).  I copied the photo for a project research without knowing who was the photographer.  At that same time, Halla was posting the exact same image here in the blog, without knowing that I had copied it, along with some information about Turbeville.  When I looked at her post in the evening I could not believe what a coincedence that was and decided that we have an awesome sister 'onemind'.  Anyway, now I always take note of Turbeville´s photos or interviews.  So here is an interview I thought Halla might like to read.. and also the rest of you :)

My sister, Halla, just decided that I am the worst blogger ever and so I decided to add her as a co-blogger to this humble little site.   She will without a doubt make everything here more interesting, she has great style, fabulous red hair and is curious about everything fashion and photography related.  She´s still in college (Kvennó in Iceland) but is also studying art and photography at the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts.
She inspires me and I’m sure she will inspire you too.

ITEMS

Every year ITEMS magazine (Dutch) chooses the top designgraduates from Holland and Belgium.  I´m a bit behind, the issue came out in December.. but here it is!  Also featured are my friends Daphne van den Heuvel and Ireneo Ciammella, who are both amazingly talented designers! :)
